Alongside other young Indian chess talents, Gukesh Dommaraju has been able to achieve two gold medals for the entire country of India at Chess Olympiad. But after this achievement, the eighteen years young Chess Grandmaster has bought a new luxury car, a Mercedes E-Class car which costs ninety lakhs of Indian rupees. Many organisations have come forth to sponsor him including the Velammal Vidyalaya in India, a school under the Velammal Nexus Group that provided him with this Mercedes- Benz luxury sedan. He received it on his felicitation ceremony at his school.

This vlog has been created by Sagar Shah, who is the owner of ChessBase India as well as a chess player, writer and commentator. Similarly in this video Sagar was invited specially to Chennai, Tamil Nadu by Velammal Vidyalaya to join the celebration of Grandmaster Gukesh. For the information of the few people that may be out of touch with current updates, Gukesh’s school is Velammal Vidyalaya and this school has facilitated his participation in international chess events.

Pragnananda Rameshbabu is also in this school. This school has been guided in the past by the hands of the world’s five-time chess champion Viswanathan Anand. Such as Velammal Vidyalaya which has churned out India no total 15 among the 83 of Grandmasters.

In the video, the vlogger first lands in Tamil Nadu and is then driven to his accommodation. After this, the vlogger and Grandmaster Gukesh share a word with each other in a hotel. They both hang out for some time where Sagar Shah interviews him frequently. During the meet, Gukesh mentioned that he has not been attending school regularly from 4th standard.On Wednesday, GM Gukesh left the hotel in an autorickshaw when he was leaving for his next destination. 

The next day Sagar was taken to Velammal Vidyalaya; school he was showed around the school by he various staff. He later interacted with potential prospective chess players from the school.Finally in the evening the function to honor Grandmaster Gukesh was held. At the event, he was conspicuous riding in the Porsche Panamera 4S luxury Sedan. After this he had to go to the stage where he was received very cordially, During his speech as a gesture grand master Gukesh donated Rs 10 lakh for the recent Tamilnadu flood victims. Metal moments later, the chess prodigy was presented with a Polar White Mercedes-Benz E-Class.

The specific variant of what appears to have been presented by a devotee of GM Gukesh’s team has not shown. However, the E-Class is currently priced from Rs 87 lakh to Rs 1.05 crore.As mentioned earlier, auto manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has gifted Chess Grandmaster Gukesh the current-generation E-Class. The company however is preparing to introduce the next generation model in Indian market. The general scheme of the next model will be released during Diwali. Word on the street has it that the launch is expected to occur in the last week of October.

With the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, there will be a new front-end, a new LED lights, new grille and new wheels alloy. As for the interiors, the new E-Class will have its big screen with a 14.4-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch screen for the front seat passenger.The compatibility options for the new auto models will comprise of four-pot petrol and diesel engines. The petrol-engined E-Class produces 194 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. On the other hand there is a diesel model and it delivers 197 bhp/440 Nm of torque.
