Police officers from Kada Dham police station in Kaushambi district said Shailesh Kumar, aged 32, was poisoned to death by his wife Savita on grounds that he was having an extra marital affair with another woman. Savita argues with Shailesh one evening after she broke her fast, but it does not seem that they were fighting anymore afterward. The couple ate together, then Savita asked Shailesh to go to a neighbour’s house for something and fled.
