SHUBMAN GILL AND ANANYA PANDAY's AD
India all-rounder Riyan Parag became the subject of a meme fest on social media on Wednesday after his teammate Shubman Gill and Bollywood actress Ananya Panday appeared together for an advertisement shoot. The memes quickly spread online following Gill and Ananya's posts about the ad on their respective social media accounts.
On Wednesday, Beats, an audio products manufacturer, introduced its latest offerings in India—the Beats Solo Buds, Beats Solo 4, and Beats Pill. Ananya and Gill were featured in the ad campaign, and shortly after Beats made the announcement, they both shared a post on X and Instagram, showcasing a picture from the shoot. However, once the pictures were posted, Parag started trending on social media.

The Rajasthan Royals player, who made his debut for India in a T20I series earlier this summer, had first trended on social media in May when a screenshot of his YouTube search history went viral. The search history contained two entries: "Ananya Panday hot" and "Sara Ali Khan hot."
In addition to his cricket career, the 22-year-old is a part-time gamer who occasionally streams his gameplay online, amassing over 65,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel. During one of his streams, a user spotted his YouTube search history, drawing attention to the searches related to the two Bollywood actresses. This led to a flood of tweets mocking and criticizing the cricketer.
