Raid In 5 Cities Over Coldplay Tickets

Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Bangalore based offices of MyTicketMart in connection with the probe into alleged sale of tickets for Coldplay ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour and Diljit Dosanjh ‘Dilluminati concert. Ticketing partners for the shows, that is, BookMyShow, and Zomato Live, were said to have sold out tickets for both shows in matter of minutes, which dragged allegations of ticket black marketing.

Some of the common reports received termed it as a scam where people sold fake tickets while others resold the tickets at very high prices. In this regard, FIRs have been filed in numbers in many of the states across the country. The service provider BookMyShow also has lodged complaints against numerous suspects. The Enforcement Directorate initiate an investigation into the money laundering aspect and raided over 13 place across five cities on 25th October.

The items that were recovered included mobile phones, laptops, and SIM cards. It also found that false tickets were being sold via Instagram, with the use of Whatsapp and Telegram group apps as well. The raids focused on suspects engaged in ticket selling fraud, the associated financial structures and the tracking proceeds from criminal activities stems.

The Coldplay concert willbe held in Mumbai on January 18,19 and 21, 2025. Diljit Dosanjh's Dilluminati India tour will begin from Delhi on October 26 and 27. The tour will take place in vaious cities, including Jaipur on November 2, Hyderabad on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 17 and Lucknow on November 22, among others, before concluding in Guwahati on December 29.
