In the aftermath of the Pahalgam terrorist attack which resulted in the loss of 26 civilian lives, the live streaming platform Fancode has removed all Pakistan Super League (PSL) content from its site. Fancode was one of the official broadcasters streaming PSL matches in our nation.
The platform aired the first 13 matches of the Pakistan Super League, which featured prominent players from the Pakistan cricket team. Reports have suggested that this action was taken on Friday. On Friday morning, all PSL-related content led to an 'Error' page, rendering it unavailable on that platform. Earlier, Fancode faced criticism from some social media users regarding their PSL broadcasts.
In light of the 5 measures announced earlier this week, India has rescinded all visas granted to Pakistani nationals – including those for medical purposes – & has suspended visa services for individuals from Pakistan following the appalling terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Ministry of External Affairs has said that all existing valid visas issued to Pakistani nationals will stand revoked with effect from Sunday, April 27. All of the medical visas issued to citizens of that country will also be valid only till Tuesday, April 29, it said, adding that all Pakistanis currently in India must leave before their visas expire based on these revised timelines.
