Over 70 Indian Flights Received Fresh Bomb Threats
As many as over 70 flights belonging to different Indian carriers got new bomb threats on Thursday, according to sources of PTI. The number of addressed flights for the respective airlines was approximately twenty for Air India, twenty for Vistara, and twenty for IndiGo and about fourteen threats carried out for Akasa Airline.
Subsequently, 20 domestic and international flight of IndiGo Airlines reported a security- related message on Thursday as per the source from news agency ANI. The airline said that "all passengers were evacuated safely and no one was harmed during the incident. We informed the authorities through the necessary administrative channels and all the procedures were conducted properly."

A spokesman of Akasa Air said that some of the airline’s flights that were scheduled for operation on Thursday have been issued security notices. The Akasa Air Emergency Response teams are currently in place and have engaged with the security and regulatory agencies. ”Rest assured, all safety and security measures are being observed in cooperation with the local police,” the spokesperson added.
On Monday, Civil aviation minister K Rammohan Naidu spoke about the government intends to pass legislation aimed at handling those who make bomb threats to airlines and make them on no-fly list. Lashing out at the social media platform X, earlier known as Twitter On Wednesday the central government criticized the social media platform for its handling of the hoax bomb threats that has targeted domestic and international flights in the recent past. More than 150 flights in the past eight days got fake threats that caused disturbances and security issues. A list of the affected airlines is as follows: Akasa, Air India, IndiGo, and Vistara; all operating from Delhi to other cities/destinations.
Due to the current crisis, cyber-security agencies have closed or forbidden nearly 10 social-network accounts to public, mainly in, from Monday. These agencies have outlined other words frequently used in the fake threats as bombs and blood will spread everywhere, and are already in the process of tracing the prime email registrations, and geographical origin of such accounts issuing the threats.
The government has said that police investigating the matter have assured the nation that they are in pursuit of all bombers who have threatened to attack airlines and are observing the developments closely. The Civil aviation minister K Rammohan Naidu clarified that the government is so serious with this that it wants to avoid any such mishap in the future.
