New York Mass Shooting: 11 Shot Outside A Night Club In Queens
Mass shooting hits Amazura nightclub in Queens, New York and more than 10 people were injured. The police in New York, particularly the NYPD has not released any details regarding the event.
Posts on social networks made by people from the city and journalists reported numerous police officers at the club. Sixteen victims were rushed to nearby hospitals, including Long Island Jewish Hospital and Cohen Children’s Medical Center, said sources in the media. The event happened on New Year’s Day, and on the same day another tragedy occured in New Orleans which left 15 people dead and over 30 injured as a vehicle ploughed through the crowd.
Citizen App users posted videos of large numbers of patrols and ambulances in front of the club. Amazura is a large space comprising a diverse and flexible layout for up to 4,000 people, that regularly invites DJs and live performances.
Police exchanged gunfire with the suspect, 42-year-old Shamsud Din Jabbar, who was fatally shot during the confrontation, sources told the New York Times.
On Wednesday morning, a Tesla Cybertruck rented through Turo was incinerated outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. The blast caused one fatality and eight people to get hurt; the incident is being probed as a terror incident.
