Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a series of tweets on X (Formerly Twitter) targeting the Congress Party and Congress governed States. These tweets come after Congress claimed irregularities in the Haryana Assembly Polls.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a tweet, said, "The Congress Party is realising the hard way that making unreal promises is easy, but implementing them properly, is tough or impossible. Campaign after campaign, they promise things to the people, which they also know they will never be able to deliver. Now, they stand badly exposed in front of the people."

He targeted the Congress Government in Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Telangana, saying that the development trajectory in these states went from bad to worse under their rule. In a different post, he claimed that the Congress Party has made many guarantees, but none of them have been fulfilled, causing suffering to youth, women, farmers and the poor. He claimed none of the schemes have been implemented in the last five years.
He targeted the development and financial struggles in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. "In Karnataka, Congress is busier in intra-party politics and loot instead of even bothering to deliver on development. Not only that, they are also going to roll back existing schemes. In Himachal Pradesh, salaries of Government workers are not paid on time,” he said. He stated that farmers in Telangana were promised a waiver but are still waiting.
"The people of the country will have to be vigilant against the Congress-sponsored culture of fake promises! We saw recently how the people of Haryana rejected their lies and preferred a Government that is stable, progress-oriented and action-driven", he advised the public.
However, the Congress Party didn’t stay silent on these comments. Head of Congress, Mallikarjun Kharge, said, “Lies, Deceit, Fakery, Loot & Publicity are the five adjectives which best describe your Govt!” “The uncrowned champion of puffery, misdirection and unfulfilled promises has the audacity to question the Congress' unparalleled track record of delivering welfare,” added Congress Party Secretary, K.C.
