On Monday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) criticized its Lok Sabha MP and actress Kangana Ranaut for her controversial comments about the farmers' agitation. The party made it clear that it does not agree with her views and emphasized that she is not authorized to speak on party policy matters.

Kangana Ranaut, during the Monsoon session of Parliament in New Delhi, faced backlash after she posted a video clip of her interview with Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar. In the clip, she suggested that a situation similar to Bangladesh’s could have arisen in India if not for the strong leadership, alleging that during the farmers' protest, there were incidents of bodies being found and rapes occurring. She also accused China and the US of being involved in the "conspiracy."

The BJP issued a statement distancing itself from Ranaut’s remarks, saying, "The statement made by BJP MP Kangana Ranaut in the context of the farmers' agitation is not the opinion of the party. The Bharatiya Janata Party expresses its disagreement with the statement made by Kangana Ranaut." The party also instructed her not to make similar statements in the future.
