If you think that the Maharashtra Elections ended on November 20 itself, then you’re wrong, because it isn’t over until a Chief Minister is appointed. In the past 15 days, the State witnessed a lot of commotion among the parties of the Mahayuti Alliance, but everything has led up to this moment today.

To ensure a smooth and secure Oath taking ceremony, over 4000 police personnel have been deployed. The Commissioner of Police, with the Special Commissioner of Police, will oversee the Law and Order situation. To ensure public security, special units like the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Platoon, Quick Response Teams (QRT), Riot Control Squad, Delta, Combat, and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) have also been stationed at various locations.

Apart from that, many high-profile dignitaries are expected to attend the Oath Taking Ceremony. This includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi, Goa CM Pramod Sawant and several other CMs from BJP-led states and Union Ministers.

Along with Devendra Fadnavis, NCP’s Ajit Pawar and Shiv Sena’s Eknath Shinde will be sworn in today as Deputy Chief Ministers of the State. All the other ministers will be taking their oath within the upcoming week. While from the start, NCP was supporting Devendra Fadnavis, Shiv Sena wanted Eknath Shinde to remain as the CM. After multiple discussions, the party members stated that they would back out if Eknath Shinde was not appointed the Deputy CM.

As of now, Devendra Fadnavis visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Dadar, after which he visited Mumbadevi Temple in Masjid Bunder. The Oath-taking ceremony takes place at 05:30 PM at Azad Maidan in Fort.
