Since Donald Trump was elected as the next President of the United States, he has been announcing heads for various departments under the US Government. One such announcement is the creation of the DOGE, Department Of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy.
The Department, went online on X (Formerly Twitter) with the name, ‘DOGE’, and their first tweet was about overtime.

While the second tweet posted on the page read, “We are very grateful to the thousands of Americans who have expressed interest in helping us at DOGE. We don’t need more part-time idea generators. The tweet emphasised a long working hour for the employees but not getting any salary. While the application is open to all, only the top applications will be selected. The tweet at the time of reporting had 19.3 million views, 14 thousand comments, and 23 thousand retweets.
This newly created Department is meant to eliminate unnecessary government schemes and personnel by the end of 4 July 2026. It is led by Tesla owner Elon Musk and Pharma Giant Vivek Ramaswamy.
