Delhi Temperature Drops To 4.9 Degrees: Cold Wave Alert!

The IMD has issued a warning for cold wave conditions in Delhi. The city recorded its coldest morning at 4.5 degrees Celsius yesterday. Warning of further drop.

Delhi Temperature Drops To 4.9 Degrees

The national capital is yet to experience more shivering, as the IMD said that, cold wave continued will persist till December, 14. The minimum temperature is also expected to fall to four degree Celsius today, said the weather observatory.

Whereas for Sunday, December 15, the minimum temperature is expected to be around five degree Celsius, whereas mist like condition will be there, says IMD.

IMD has made the following cold wave forecast for the next week. In the few days to come, from December 19 to December 25, many other states will experience cold wave. Including:

Rajasthan: Temperatures could go as low as -5°C or less, at isolated places

East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh: Below normal (-3°C to -5°C) at a few places

Delhi, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam, Meghalaya: Below normal (-1°C to -3°C)

Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Jharkhand: Below normal (-1°C to -3°C) at isolated places.

One cyclist said “The weather has changed a lot here in the last three to four days. The sky has also become very clear.. it is getting very chilly,” reported ANI.

No changes to the forecast minimum temperatures would be observed during the week 19-25 of December compared to that of the coming week. However, the minimum temperatures are also expected to be below 10°C over most of northwest, central & east India the IMD noted in its latest bulletin.
