Delhi Assembly Elections 2025
Women are at the heart of BJP’s social justice policies, Union Minister JP Nadda said on Wednesday as he unveiled the first half of the party’s election manifesto for the February 5 elections in Delhi.
The senior BJP leader also promised the voters that every social welfare scheme shall remain functional in the capital and he then pointed at the corruption of AAP government. The BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ announced a onetime cash dole of Rs 21,000 and six food kits for pregnant women ,besides that Rs 5,000 for the first child and Rs 6,000 for the second child.
He also laid out the Mahila Smriddhi Yojana under which woman will be paid Rs 2,500 a month. Noting that the AAP had said that women would be provided Rs 1,000 in 2021, Mr Nadda said that the party has not fullfilled their poll promises – whether in Punjab or Delhi.
The government shall also give Rs 500 on LPG cylinders “for the poor”, said the BJP leader; the people will also get two free cylinders on Diwali and Holi. Mr Nadda has also vowed that if BJP wins the Delhi assembly election; the health insurance program called Ayushman Bharat launched by the centre will be implemented by the Arvind Kejriwal government within the first cabinet meeting.
The AAP government had been rejecting the central scheme as the city already has ‘better’ health policies in place. People above 60 years of age will also be provided with an additional Rs 5 lakh accidental health cover and the total health cover given out will reach Rs 10 lakh, noted the party’s poll plank.
He also declared pension system in which Rs 2000-2500 will be given to the people of 60-70 years of age and Rs 3000 to the persons those who are above 70. Similarly for the Divyang and the widow it will be raised to 3000.
