A devastating cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh’s Rampur area near a hydroelectric power project at Samej Khad has resulted in one death and at least 32 missing persons as of Thursday. Initial reports indicate 19 people are missing from the immediate region, with additional unconfirmed reports of missing individuals in Kullu, bringing the total to 32.
The incident occurred around 1 am on Thursday, but road blockages delayed news of the disaster. Rescue operations by the National Disaster Response Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, police, and home guards are currently ongoing.

Meanwhile, another cloudburst has been reported in the high mountains of Shrikhand Mahadev in Kullu district, further complicating the situation.
