Mumbai Police has already started their investigation after Advocate Amit Vyas on 23 September filed an FIR against BookMyShow and other entities regarding the ticket frenzy that happened on 22 September. According to Vyas, the tickets for the January show were sold out almost immediately after it went live. The band then added two more shows to satisfy the demand, but even those tickets sold out almost immediately. Fans experienced technical glitches and long virtual queues.
The allegations are that Big Tree Entertainment and the other entities involved intended to black-market the tickets upon mutual agreement. The tickets were supposed to be Rs. 2,500 and are now being resold between Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 3 lakhs. The complaint alleges the fraudulent activity is an act of cheating done by the company.
