Actor Anushka Sharma has shared that she and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli, personally cook for their children, Vamika and Akaay. Speaking at an event in Mumbai, as reported by the Indian Express, Anushka mentioned that both she and Virat are keen on passing down their family recipes to their kids. She emphasized the importance of maintaining routine, stating that wherever they are, they ensure they "eat and sleep at the same time."

Discussing food, Anushka said, "We realized that if we don’t cook the meals our mothers made, we won’t be able to pass those recipes to our children. So, sometimes I cook, sometimes my husband cooks, and we really try to recreate our mothers' dishes. I do cheat a little by calling my mom for recipes, but it's important because it feels like you're passing something valuable on to your kids."

Anushka also spoke about her children's routine, explaining that she is meticulous about consistency, especially given their frequent travels. She believes that having fixed meal and sleep times helps provide her children with a sense of stability. "No matter where we are, we eat and sleep at the same time. It helps them regulate themselves better."

Regarding her early dinner schedule, Anushka explained that it started out of convenience. Vamika preferred having dinner around 5:30 PM, and since Anushka was often home alone with her daughter at that time, she decided to join her. Over time, this routine became a regular part of their lives. "It began out of convenience because my daughter wanted her dinner early. She’d eat around 5:30, and since it was just the two of us at home, I’d think, might as well join her," she said.
