'A loss of 1 crore in my shooting set': Vinod Kumar accuse Prakash Raj

Producer Vinod Kumar accused Actor Prakash Raj of abandoning the set without notice, causing him a loss of Rs. 1 crore. The producer called his disappearance unprofessional and explained the situation in a set of tweets on the platform.

The producer reshared a picture posted by Prakash Raj on X (formerly known as Twitter). In the picture, the actor is present with Actor-politician Udhayanidhi Stalin and his father, Chief Minister MK Stalin, at the event where Udhayanidhi was appointed as the Deputy chief minister. In the post, he wrote, “With a Deputy CM… #justasking.”
“The other three personalities sitting with you have won elections, but you lost the deposit; that’s the difference. You made a loss of 1 crore in my shooting set, disappearing from the caravan without informing us! What was the reason?! #Justasking !!! You said you would call me, but you didn’t!!”The producer wrote while resharing the post and accused him of unprofessionalism.

Revealing that this incident happened on 30 September, Vinod explained his frustration at the actor with another post. He wrote, “This happened on the 30th of September 2024. The entire cast and crew were stunned. Almost 1000 junior artists. It was a 4-day schedule for him. He left the caravan after receiving a call from some other production! Abandoned us, didn’t know what to do!! We had to stop the schedule and caused a huge loss because of that.”

The actor hasn’t responded to these allegations yet. Prakash and Vinod worked together in 2021 on the film ‘Enemy’
