The global phenomenon "Squid Game" is set to return with its highly anticipated second season, premiering on Netflix on December 26, 2024. Netflix announced the release date via its Instagram accounts, igniting excitement among fans. In addition, Netflix revealed that the third and final season will debut in 2025, concluding the gripping saga that began in 2021.

Netflix India also released a short teaser for Season 2, captioned, "The real game begins. Squid Game Season 2 coming December 26, only on Netflix. Final Season coming 2025." The teaser hints at the high-stakes drama and intense gameplay fans can expect.

Season 2 will see the return of key cast members from the first season, including Lee Jung-jae (Song Gi-hun) and Lee Byung-hun (the Frontman). Additional returning cast members include Wi Ha-jun and Gong Yoo. The series has also expanded its cast for Season 2, adding prominent Korean actors such as Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, and more.

Set three years after the first season's events, the new season will follow Gi-hun, now the victor of the Squid Game, as he seeks to uncover and dismantle the organization behind the deadly competition. The season promises to delve deeper into the dark world of the games and the motives of those who orchestrate them.
