Sourav Ganguly to Star in Netflix's Khakee 2: Details Inside

After being a professional cricket player, Sourav Ganguly is all set to begin his acting career and entertain the fans. He was seen acting in an advertisement for Netflix’s upcoming show ‘Khakee 2’.

In the advertisement, Ganguly is seen dressed in a police uniform, which made fans speculate that he  might play a cop in the show. Whether he will be part of the series has not been confirmed yet. According to sources, Ganguly shot for the advertisement at Binodini Studio in Baruipur. To add fuel to the speculations, photos of Ganguly in the uniform have gone viral on social media.

At the trailer launch, filmmaker Neeraj Pandey was asked about Ganguly's association to the show, Pandey responded with a grin, "As far as Sourav is concerned... keep looking", hinting at a possible cameo by Ganguly in the show. This has left the fans excited to see their favourite cricket player on screen in different circumstances.

‘Khakee 2: The Bengal Chapter’, is a sequel to Netflix’s ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter’, and will be available to stream on Netflix from March 5. The story follows a police officer in Kolkata in 2000 as he fights a political connection and attempts to stop criminal networks. The series is created by Neeraj Pandey and directed by Debatma Mandal and Tushar Kanti Ray, and stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Jeet, Parambrata Chatterjee, Chitrangada Singh, Saswata Chatterjee and many more.
