Netflix has taken to their social media handle and announced the date of the K-Pop girl band Blackpink’s documentary. As per the announcement it will be released on October 14. The documentary is named “Blackpink: Light Up The Sky.” Netflix vice president stated, “We are truly lucky to be able to work with the hottest girl group in the world right now.”
The documentary is the journey of the last four years of girls’ group from being trainees to international pop stars. The viewers will also get to watch unseen footage from the last four years. It will also show dorm life and backstage behind-the-scenes.
Along with that, the aficionados will also get to see the album recording process for all their super hit songs as well as an exclusive interview of the four members and how they work together to create good sync. This documentary is helmed by Caroline Suh, who is popular for the cooking documentary series Salt Fat Acid Heat.
“We are excited to be able to share our story to our BLINKS all over the world through this Netflix documentary. We hope that this documentary will bring happiness to the viewers,” Blackpink commented. BLACKPINK will also be releasing its first studio album THE ALBUM on October 2.
