"Today, I interacted with respected economists and listened to their valuable insights on issues related to fostering economic growth," Modi shared on the social media platform X.

Sources indicated that economists proposed recommendations, such as emphasizing the development of global value chains and increasing funding for agricultural research and development. Some suggested streamlining escalating fertilizer subsidies through direct cash transfers. Others stressed the need for accelerated growth in the non-farm sector to support rural sector development in India.

Recommendations included prioritizing education, managing fiscal deficits, and reforming tax frameworks. According to sources, the focus should not only be on the upcoming Budget but also on achieving the Prime Minister's vision of an "Developed India" by 2047.

Several economists highlighted the role of states and their ambitions, with many proposing individualized targets for each state to realize the "Viksit Bharat" dream by 2047.
