On Thursday, Thiruvananthapuram International Airport was placed under a complete emergency alert following a bomb threat received by an Air India flight arriving from Mumbai, according to airport sources who spoke to news agency PTI. Sources reported that passengers were being evacuated from the aircraft.

When the flight neared Thiruvananthapuram airport, the pilot reported the bomb threat, and upon landing at approximately 8 am, the plane was relocated to a secure isolation area. The aircraft carried 135 passengers, and details regarding the source of the threat and other specifics have not been disclosed yet.
