Quincy Jones, renowned record producer, composer, and cultural icon, has died at age 91. A representative, Arnold Robinson, confirmed that Jones passed away at his Bel Air home on Sunday, November 3. His family released a statement expressing their deep sorrow while celebrating his lasting impact, noting, “We celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him.”

Jones, often simply called “Q,” became a towering figure in music across genres and generations. His work with Michael Jackson, particularly on the legendary albums Off the Wall, Thriller, and Bad, cemented his role in shaping modern pop music.

Jones also collaborated with artists like Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin, and Donna Summer, making a mark in jazz, R&B, and pop music.

His film scores, like those for The Color Purple, expanded his reach beyond the recording studio, while his TV production company made lasting contributions to pop culture, including The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
