In March 2024, during Ed Sheeran’s concert in Mumbai for his Mathematics Tour, Diljit Dosanjh gave a surprise performance by singing his song ‘Lover’. He even made Ed Sheeran sing the Punjabi song, which created buzz and excitement among fans. And now, Ed Sheeran has returned the favour by making a special appearance at Diljit's concert in Birmingham.
During the concert, to bring Ed Sheeran on the stage, Diljit Dosanjh screams "Ed Sheeran aa gaya oye" and Ed enters the stage. The two performed the mashup of their hit songs ‘Shape of You’ and ‘Naina’. Fans of the two singers went crazy over this un expected collaboration.
Diljit also took to his Instagram to show his gratitude for Sheeran and share a glimpse of the performance. Many people commented on the post, one user wrote, “I love this Collab we need a song now”, while another wrote “This needs to be an actual collab!” One person even commented, “Performance of a lifetime! Still reeling from the awe!”
