Sunrisers Hyderabad after losing toss earlier restricted Mumbai Indians on 150 runs, lowest score on Chennai ground till now in this year’s campaign.
Strong and reliable batting lineup of Mumbai Indians failed against newly renovated bowling lineup of Sunrisers. Openers Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock looked settled and in attacking mode today but couldn’t continue their innings after a great start.
Sharma scored 32 runs off 25 balls with 2 fours and 2 sixes he lost his wicket to Vijay Shankar in the 7th over. Suryakumar Yadav too got trapped against Shankar and got caught and bowled in the 9th over after scoring 10 runs.
Ishan Kishan completely failed today though he anchored innings with De Kock but scored only 12 runs off 21 balls with the strike rate of 57. Pollard in the last five overs took out his firecrackers.
Pollard scored 35 off 22 with 1 four and 3 sixes, out of which 2 came in the last two balls of the inning. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Rashid reained wicketless today while Shankar and Rehman took 2 each.
