This is good news for Maharashtra and the monsoon will be active in Maharashtra in the next 2-3 days, said senior meteorologist KS Hosalikar. He also said that the monsoon is moving fast. In the next 2-3 days, the monsoon is likely to move to some parts of the Central Arabian Sea, parts of Maharashtra and Goa and other parts, he said.

Sharing information from the Indian Meteorological Department, KS Hosalikar explained where the monsoon has reached. The monsoon is moving forward and the meteorological department has forecast favorable conditions for it. The monsoon is moving through the Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep, Kerala, parts of the coast, South Karnataka, North Karnataka, parts of Andhra Pradesh and parts of Tamil Nadu and the Bay of Bengal, he said.

Rain in Konkan Western Maharashtra in two to three days

The meteorological department has forecast thundershowers in most parts of the state for the next two to three days. Heavy rains are expected in Thane, Raigad, South Konkan, Pune, Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli districts.

The monsoon will receive 101 per cent of the average

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon has arrived in Kerala on June 3. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), this year’s monsoon is expected to be 101 per cent above average. The meteorological department has forecast 101 per cent rainfall this year. Rainfall ranging from 96 percent to 104 percent is called normal monsoon
