The Tom Cruise starrer Mission Impossible – Fallout has performed better than expected on its first weekday at the box office while Sanjay Dutt starrer Saheb Biwi Gangster 3 is a complete washout
Mission Impossible-FallOut started on a strong note with Rs 13.50 crores on Friday. Mission Impossible-FallOut did well with an Rs 16.65 crores on Saturday while the action-adventure grew by a solid Rs 25.95 crores on Sunday and brought a total of Rs 56.10 crores. The action adventure fell by reasonable amount to Rs 5 crores bringing a total number to Rs 61.10 croes (final numbers to be updated). Comparing to the its previous version, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation collected Rs 26.90 crores in its opening weekend and Rs 38.70 crores in its first week. The word-of-mouth reviews have been excellent which is ensuring superb business at the ticket window.
The Sanjay Dutt starrer Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 crashed at the box office with just Rs 0.65 crores on its first Monday grossing a total of just Rs 5.05 crores. This is Sanjay Dutt’s second flop after his comeback since the disaster Bhoomi. Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 carries a budget of Rs 30 Crores all inclusive of prints and advertising cost.
Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster (2011) had collected 10 Crores while Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 2 ( 2013) which had collected 25 Crores at the box office.
