Meghan Markle has reportedly filed a complaint with ITV against Piers Morgan after his Monday morning rant against her. Seemingly, according to The Telegraph, the grievance was lodged on her behalf. This information comes in the wake of Piers openly dragging Meghan and her husband Prince Harry for their Oprah Winfrey interview and, in particular, claiming she’s fibbing about her mental health and suicidal thoughts during her time as a royal.
“Who did you go to? What did they say to you? I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said, Meghan Markle,” Morgan told on Good Morning Britain. “I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report.” After Piers criticised her, the disgraced TV host was literally called out by his co-host. The 55-year-old while co-hosting Good Morning Britain was called out by his co-host Alex Beresford. “I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle. You’ve made it so clear a number of times on this program a number of times,” Alex said. “And I understand that you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one and she cut you off. She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has but yet you continue to trash her.”
Piers stormed off the sets after being called out and even stepped down from ITV. Today, evaluating on his words at the show, the anchor tweeted out that he’s living by the comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex and her tell-all interview alongside husband, Prince Harry, with Oprah Winfrey. “On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK. Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions,” Piers penned.
