The Vijay and Vijay Sethupati starrer Master completed the first week at the box office on a grand note, setting new milestone.
Even with 50% occupancy in theaters, Vijay and Vijay Sethupati starrer Master opened to a brilliant response on its first day at the box office. The Pongal festival elevated the first day collections to a solid Rs 34.80 crore when the film opened on 13th January. The action flick stayed afloat on the second day with Rs 18.30 crore while it continued the momentum bringing the solid Rs 15.80 crore on third day, Rs 13 crore on fourth day.
Master went up on fourth day with Rs 14.50 crore while it remained stable on the first weekday which was the fifth day with Rs 9.20 crore. Owing to good reviews, the audience kept the steam as Master kept on bringing moolah with Rs 7.24 crore on sixth day, Rs 6.21 crore on the seventh day and finally Rs 5.08 crore, bringing first week collections to a mind blowing Rs 124.13 crore.
As there are no new releases, the Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film will continue to the benefit from the 26th January Republic Day celebration.
