Lee Min-ho is a South Korean actor, singer, and model. He gained widespread fame in Korea and parts of Asia with his role as Gu Jun-pyo in Boys Over Flowers. His notable lead roles in television series include Personal Taste, City Hunter, The Heirs, Legend of the Blue Sea and The King: Eternal Monarch. Min-ho plays Hansu, a rich and powerful merchant with ties to organised crime, in the upcoming Apple TV+ series Pachinko.
In an interview with a news portal when Min-ho was asked about him continuing to stay at the top by playing familiar characters, the actor honestly confessed that he isn’t hesitant about making changes. Lee stated that if the ‘knight in shining armour’ is his “representative image” then he should actually keep going until he becomes “the emperor in shining armour.” It should be when he reaches the peak that Min-ho feels is the right time to stop pursuing that image.
Lee shared, “I thought it was over after The King: Eternal Monarch, and I wanted to make a change after that. That’s when I met Pachinko, and that determination became stronger, so that’s why I started leeminho film”.
