Suriya is an actor, producer and television presenter who is best known for his work in Tamil cinema. Few days back Suriya announced on the micro blogging website that he has tested positive for COVID 19. Later, his brother Karthi announced that he was recovering well and was home quarantined. Now, the director of Suriya’s production house 2D Entertainment Rajsekar has confirmed on Twitter that Suriya has recovered and tested negative for COVID 19.
Taking to his Twitter space, Rajsekar wrote, “#AnbanaFans Anna tested NEGATIVE, Thank you for all your prayers and wishes”. According to media reports, Suriya will soon join the sets of his upcoming film with Pandiraj tentatively titled Suriya40. The film was recently launched with a formal pooja. It is expected that the makers will soon come up with some exciting announcement regarding the resumption of shooting.
On February 7, Suriya announced on Twitter about him testing positive for COVID 19. He wrote, “I have tested positive for COVID 19 and now receiving treatment. We have to understand that the situation has not returned to normalcy. Though it is not possible to live a fearful life, one has to follow all precautionary methods and adapt to the new normal.” On February 11, his brother and actor Karthi wrote on his Twitter space, “Anna is back home and all safe! Will be in home quarantine for a few days. Can’t thank you all enough for the prayers and best wishes!”
On the work front, Suriya has multiple projects in his kitty. He was recently seen in Tamil biographical drama, Soorarai Pottru, which skipped theatrical release and premiered on Amazon Prime directly. The film was based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath of Air Deccan.
