Kim Sae Ron’s Family Responds to Alleged “Kissing” Clip Released by YouTuber

Kim Sae Ron’s name once again trended online after controversial YouTuber Lee Jin Ho dropped new claims about her dating history despite ongoing legal restrictions against him.

On April 9, Lee Jin Ho uploaded a video alleging that Kim Sae Ron had been romantically involved with someone else while also rumored to be dating actor Kim Soo Hyun. The footage included blurry clips of a woman, reportedly Kim Sae Ron, holding hands with a man and allegedly kissing him.

He claimed the video was shot on May 27, 2019, based on the file’s metadata, suggesting the actress was dating another man at the time. “Let’s first take a look at the photos of Kim Sae Ron with her partner at that time,” said Lee. “Some may argue that holding hands with a friend doesn’t necessarily prove they were in a relationship. To clarify that this was a date, I have decided to reveal a scene where they can clearly be seen as a couple. I hope you understand.”

According to Lee, the video wasn’t captured by paparazzi but by a close friend of the actress who happened to witness the moment. He added that the footage eventually reached some agency staff and eventually made its way to him. “The metadata of the video confirms that it was taken on May 27, 2019,” he said. “This means that Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were both dating different people at the same time, as this evidence shows.”

But on April 10, Kim Sae Ron’s family pushed back. In a statement shared via Sports Kyunghyang, her family denied the allegations, saying that the claims made in the video were false. They stated that Kim Sae Ron was not on a date that night. Instead, she was with a female acquaintance on May 27, 2019, and even contacted her mother before 1 a.m. that night to check in.

Her family also mentioned that Kim's phone contains photos and videos from that night, further supporting their claim that she was with a female friend, not on a romantic date.
