Super Junior's Ryeowook Announces Wedding Plans Former TAHITI Member Ari in Heartfelt Letter to Fans

Super Junior member Ryeowook has shared joyous news with fans via Instagram, revealing his plans for marriage through a heartfelt handwritten letter. Addressing ELF, the dedicated fanbase, Ryeowook expressed gratitude for their unwavering support over the years.

In his letter, Ryeowook reminisced about his journey with ELF since his debut in 2005, acknowledging their steadfast presence through both joyous and challenging times. He then delicately shared his decision to marry, expressing a desire to start a family with his partner. After careful consideration and discussions with members and agency staff, Ryeowook disclosed his intention to tie the knot in late May.

Despite the joyous occasion, Ryeowook expressed empathy towards fans who may be surprised by the news, assuring them of his continued dedication to his career and the Super Junior family. He thanked fans for their ongoing support and extended warm wishes for their well-being.

Ryeowook's relationship with former TAHITI member Ari was confirmed in 2020, marking a significant milestone in his personal life.

“To our ELF whose existence is like blue starlight

 

Hello. This is Super Junior’s Ryeowook.

I have some news that I wanted to share directly with our ELF, my most precious friends, who always send me love and support with all their hearts. This is a letter written with the hope that my sincerity is conveyed to all of you.

I first met ELF in early winter at the age of 19 on November 6, 2005

And now I am 38-year-old Kim Ryeowook, in my 20th year since debut.

Whether then or now, our ELFs have always steadfastly stood by our side. I think we have become stronger, having experienced both happy and sad moments together.

Therefore, I am eager to convey this news first but also cautious about doing so.

As you are aware, there is someone I am seeing.

Over the time we spent together, I naturally developed a desire to become family with her.

This is not a sudden decision but one I’ve been deliberating for a long time, and after long discussion with the members and agency staff, I decided to have my wedding this spring in late May.

I am always grateful to the ELF who has supported Kim Ryeowook although I have been imperfect and clumsy until now.

On the other hand, I also feel apologetic to those of you who may have been surprised by this news.

I will continue to work hard as Super Junior’s Ryeowook and as singer Ryeowook for all of you who support me performing with the members and want to listen to my singing nevertheless.

Also, I would like to thank our members and SM staff who have supported my decision and given me strength.
