From BTS to Aespa, 31st Hanteo Music Awards Celebrates K-pop Excellence with Stellar Lineup of Winners

The 2024 Hanteo Music Awards concluded with a spectacular showcase of K-pop talent at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul, South Korea. Hosted by TVXQ's Changmin, the two-day event honoured the industry's finest, with electrifying performances and prestigious accolades.

The first day saw BTS members Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung, alongside NewJeans and Stray Kids, among others, taking home wins. But it was on the second day that the spotlight truly shone, as the esteemed winners were unveiled.

NCT DREAM claimed the Grand Prize for Best Artist (Daesang), while IVE's "I AM" secured the Grand Prize for Best Song (Daesang). Stray Kids dominated with the Grand Prize for Best Performance (Daesang), while SEVENTEEN clinched the Grand Prize for Best Album (Daesang).

The prestigious Artist of the Year (Bonsang) award was bestowed upon an illustrious list of talents, including BTS members Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook, alongside other stellar acts like ATEEZ, ENHYPEN, and SEVENTEEN.

Global recognition was also on display, with BTS' Taehyung and Jimin earning accolades for their impact in Europe & Africa and South America & Oceania, respectively. TXT was celebrated as the Global Artist in Asia & North America, while Aespa received the Global Generation Icon award.

The ceremony also honoured emerging talents, with rookies like ZEROBASEONE and tripleS making their mark, alongside standout performers like VIVIZ and TEMPEST.

With a diverse array of awards spanning genres and regions, the 31st Hanteo Music Awards showcased the vibrancy and global reach of K-pop music. From seasoned legends to promising newcomers, the event celebrated the industry's past, present, and future, reaffirming its status as a powerhouse in the global music scene.
