Juventus will be welcoming Bologna for the Serie A fixture at 5:00 PM IST at the Juventus Stadium on Sunday. Juventus has acquired the fifth spot with 33 points while Bologna has occupied the 12th spot with 20 points.
Juventus played 17 matches out which they won nine, lost two games and had a draw on six occasions. On the other hand, Bologna also had 18 matches, they won and drew five games each while lost eight games.
After facing a 2-0 defeat against Inter Milan last weekend, Juventus bounced back by conquering the Italian Super Cup over Napoli in midweek. This victory must have increased the side’s confidence ahead of their upcoming game.
Bologna is also entering into this match after a crucial victory against Verona which ended their winless streak. This was their first victory in the last nine games. Bologna has only won five games overall but still seven points ahead of the relegation zone.
In the head-to-head competition between the two teams, Juventus clearly has the upper hand as they beat Bologna in 38 games and lost to them just once. Bologna’s sole victory against the Bianconeri came during the 2010-11 season.
Juventus will be progressing without Matthijs de Ligt, Alex Sandro, and Merih Demiral. Juan Cuadrado’s return from quarantine in midweek is a positive note for the home team.
Bologna to miss the services of Ibrahima Mbaye, Federico Santander, and Gary Medel as these players are long-term absentees.
