IU Says Park Bo Gum Picked Out Her Everyday Summer Outfit

Idol-actress IU revealed that her close friend and When Life Gives You Tangerines co-star Park Bo Gum had a big influence on her summer wardrobe.

In a new vlog on her YouTube channel, IU showed up to support Park Bo Gum during his fan meeting.

The actor had prepared thoughtful gifts for her, including a cake, a hat, and even the official lightsticks from both their fandoms. IU especially appreciated the handwritten card, calling it a touching detail that showed his care.

While talking about the gifts, IU recalled that Park Bo Gum had once given her a light blue checkered shirt, which surprisingly became her go-to outfit.

“I wore it all summer long,” IU shared, laughing as she explained how her staff even noticed she kept repeating it. She added that since she was in the middle of moving houses, that shirt remained one of the only two clothing items she had left at her current home.

IU explained, “I’ve been preparing to move for two years. I’m almost ready now. I moved all my stuff into my new house. I only have two outfits at home! The plaid shirt Bo Gum got me and another plaid shirt. So I wore it when I went to record Cantabile, and I think I wore that to the Blue Dragon Series Awards as well.”

She then smiled, saying, “I kept them because I like them.”

IU wrapped up the story by mentioning that even though she hadn’t opened Park Bo Gum’s newest gifts yet, she was already sure they would become part of her everyday look. “I think the hat will be added to my daily outfits right away,” she said, showing her full trust in his style choices.
