FC Goa will be playing Jamshedpur FC for the Indian Super League fixture at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, in Fatorda, Goa at 7:30 PM IST on Thursday. FC Goa has acquired the fourth position with 15 points while Jamshedpur FC has occupied the sixth spot with 13 points.
FC Goa had 10 matches out of which they won four games, lost and drew thrice while Jamshedpur FC also played 10 games, they were victorious on three occasions, lost three matches and had a draw in four games.
FC Goa had a decent start to their ISL campaign and had the capability of finding a place for themselves in the top four. However, as the season progressed, Juan Ferrando’s side has shown inconsistency. In the previous game, FC Goa had a 1-1 draw against SC East Bengal.
Jamshedpur is also lacking inconsistency throughout the season. Jamshedpur has struggled to grab those crucial three points despite a lead in most of the games. Owen Coyle’s Jamshedpur is coming into this game on the back of a disappointing loss to Kerala Blasters 3-2.
In the head-to-head competition between the two teams, Goa has the upper hand as they won four games and lost to Jamshedpur on two occasions. Only one fixture was ended in a draw. The two teams met each other earlier in the on-going season and FC Goa came out victorious as they beat Jamshedpur FC by the scoreline of 2-1.
Lenny Rodrigues and Alberto Noguera is likely to be used in the latter part of the upcoming fixture.
Owen Coyle opted for the 4-3-3 line-up in the previous game against Kerala Blasters. Amarjit Singh Kiyam is likely to return to the squad to add stability on the field.
