Despite the Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible FallOut wave all over India, the Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Dhadak is standing tall on the weekdays and has managed to cross 100 crores worldwide at the box office.
Generally, the romantic drama films falls on its second weekend but Dhadak did better than expected. Dhadak completed its first week collection on a grand note with a staggering Rs 51.56 crores. The first week collection of Dhadak is the 9th Highest of 2018 after films like Sanju, Padmavaat, Race 3, Baaghi 2, Raid, Padman, Raazi and Veere Di Wedding. Dhadak crashed on its second Friday collecting Rs 2.61 crores due to the release of much awaited Mission Impossible FallOut and Sanjay Dutt, Jimmy Shergill, Chitrangda Singh and Mahie Gill starrer Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster 3.
The collections grew by eye-popping 54.02 % on second Saturday to Rs 4.02 crores followed by further growth on Sunday with Rs 5.02 crores and making the producers happy. Dhadak fell by 35% on its second Monday as compared to its second Friday bringing Rs 1.55 crores. However, it held well on Tuesday with Rs 1.35 crores with a total of Rs 64.95 crores (As per trade estimates) and grossed the worldwide collection with an outstanding Rs 100 crores. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, Dhadak had opened on 2791 screens worldwide (India 2235, Overseas-556). Dhadak was made on a budget of Rs 40 crores (Production Budget – Rs 30 crores + Printing & Advertising – Rs 10 crores) which has already been achieved.
