Varun Sharma, fondly known as Choocha from ‘Fukrey’ and Sexa from ‘Chhichhore’, is being spied on. And the ones exposing all the drama are none other than our fellow smart species, animals. Well, this is a gimmick for the infotainment channel, Sony BBC Earth’s upcoming premiere, Spy in the Wild 2. The show has more than 50 realistic animatronic spy creatures taking the viewers into the heart of the extraordinary lives of 40 remarkable and real wild animals. Each spy animal looks like the real animals they film and behaves like them too giving us a private and personal sneak peek into the unseen world of animals.
Spy in the Wild 2 premieres on 21st September and will air in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, from Monday to Friday at 9PM on Sony BBC Earth. To promote this fun, insightful and pioneering series, Sony BBC Earth collaborated with actor Varun Sharma who with his inimitable humor and quirk is elevating the fun quotient in the specially curated promos. The eccentric and light-hearted promos reveal that a couple of undercover spy animals have taken over Varun’s life and are exposing his intimate moments hence bringing alive the essence of the series – ‘with spies up close, all the drama will be exposed’.
Varun Sharma who is a big fan of nature and wildlife series says, “I have always been fascinated and intrigued with Natural History shows and the whole process of wildlife filmmaking. I think it’s a rare privilege to get a sneak-peek into the intimate and extra-ordinary moments of wild animals without coming in their way. Sony BBC Earth has made this possible by bringing us ‘Spy in the Wild 2’, a show which has revolutionized wildlife filmmaking by using cutting-edge animatronic technology. Upon hearing the concept of spy animals behaving and acting like real animals and living among them in the wild, I was sure that I want to be a part of this pioneering series in whichever way possible. We have shot fun and quirky promos to support the series and I am excited to see everyone’s reaction to it”.
Delving deeper into the animal kingdom, each episode explores a different climatic region of the world and exposes different animals like baby Mountain Gorillas, Komodo Dragons, Iguanas, Baby Sea Lions, Polar bears, Crocodiles, Hippos, Monkeys and many more. These undercover spy animals in Spy in the Wild 2 will surely transport the audience deeper into the animal world than ever thought possible and delight everyone with never-seen-before animal behavior.
Tune-in to Spy in the Wild 2, from 21st September, Monday to Friday at 9PM, only on Sony BBC Earth.
