Preparations Indian Premier League 2021 has started in India and respective franchise camps, 15th edition of IPL will start from 9th Aril and will end on 30 May across 6 venues in India.
No team will get the benefit of home ground this year as same as last year but this will test the teams and players as they will have to settle themselves in the bio bubble and team pressures.
In the previous edition IPL again gave some new players with some extra ordinary skills be it Rahul Tewatia from Rajasthan or T Natrajan from Hyderabad or Suryakumar Yadav from Mumbai Indians. Players to watch out for in IPL 2021:
29 year old Natrajan who amazed cricket circles by his disastrous bowling skills. He took 16 wickets in 16 matches last year while he got famous by name Yorker King due to his perfect yorker balls. After IPL season he got featured in Indian squad for Australian tour as a net bowler. But later he got chance in the playing XI of T20 squad and followed by his ODI debut on the same tour. This year Natrajan will look out for his performance in IPL to confirm his position in National team for upcoming T20 world cup.
Most expensive player of the Vivo IPL 2021, Glenn Maxwell will be seen in the King Kohli’s Bangalore’s squad in orange-black jersey. While Glenn Maxwell had an unforgettable season last year and hence Punjab team didn’t find it worth including such big players in the franchise. Maxwell just after previous IPL season seen hitting big shots and scoring big runs for Australia in bilateral series with India, also he had a great big bash league. Ahead of the 2021 IPL auction, it was predicted that Shahrukh might get a team but the number of teams who showed interest in the 25-year-old all-rounder was just tremendous to see. England batsman Dawid Malan, ranked No. 1 in ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, was picked for Rs 1.5 crore by Punjab Kings in the IPL 2021 mini auction. The left-handed batsman has been performed consistently for Middlesex for more than a decade and quickly rose in stature at the national level. The turning point in his career came in 2016 when he slammed an unbeaten 126-ball 185 against Sri Lanka A in Northampton. In 2017, Malan earned a spot in the national T20 team for the three-match series against South Africa and slammed 44-ball 78 on debut, for which he was named Man of the Match.
New Zealand pacer Kyle Jamieson became the second-most expensive player of IPL auction 2021 and the third most expensive player in the history of IPL auctions after being picked up by Royal Challengers Bangalore for ₹15 crore. His base price was ₹75 lakh. Jamieson, who made his Test debut against India last year, has been one of the top performers for New Zealand in the longest format of the game. In just six Tests, he has picked up 36 wickets at a staggering average of 13.27.
