The theme for this year's Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual Costume Institute Benefit is "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," itself derived from the Costume Institute's spring 2025 exhibition, which explores the role of sartorial style in forming Black identities.

Inspired by Monica Miller’s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, Met Gala of 2025 looked back to the representation of Black style over the past three centuries through the concept of dandyism, inviting guidance and creative interpretation of the same through the lens of today's designers!

SHAH RUKH KHAN:
He truly defines Black Style aptly, wearing a classic design by Sabyasachi while maximalising on accessories. He came, he posed and he conquered the spotlight completely serving us some dandy, gansta vibes yet a classic King Khan look.
