"This is a conclave, not a war." Ralph Fiennes declares to Stanley Tucci in Conclave. PVRINOX Pictures is proud to announce the release of Conclave, an adaptation of Robert Harris's New York Times bestseller, hitting theatres across India on 25th October. Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front), the film boasts a stellar cast including Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini.
The story of Conclave delves into one of the oldest and most secretive ancient rituals: electing the new Pope. John Lithgow says “The pope is dead, the throne is vacant” in the trailer for the upcoming release. Following the sudden death of a widely revered pontiff, Cardinal Lawrence (Ralph Fiennes) is entrusted with overseeing the clandestine process. As the Church's highest-ranking figures converge in the Vatican to begin their secluded deliberations, Lawrence becomes entangled in a web of intrigue, uncovering a hidden truth with the potential to upend the Church’s very core.

Ralph Fiennes speaks about his character, Lawrence in the upcoming thriller, “It is full of manipulative, rather dark figures doing dubious things. There’s ambition and some corruption, but it isn’t just about the political machinations. For Lawrence especially, it’s about who is going to be the right spiritual leader.” says Fiennes.
The film delivers an intense and thought-provoking inner look into the workings of the Vatican and the thrilling power struggle that happens behind closed doors. As all things come together in the end to reveal the truth, in a tense moment at the end of the trailer, Ralph Fiennes, in character as Cardinal Lawrence, states, “There is one sin which I have come to fear, above all others...certainty. If there was only certainty, and no doubt, there would be no mystery. And therefore, no need for faith.”
