In the season of book-to-screen adaptations, Prime Video’s Spanish adaptation of the Wattpad superhit series by Mercedes Ron ‘Culpables’ had effectively quadrupled its fanbase with the premiere of its first film Culpa Mía last year. The film’s stupendous success made actors Nicole Wallace (as Noah) and Gabriel Guevara (as Nick) household names across the globe, with fans adoring their palpable chemistry on-screen. Culpa Mía’s story follows Noah, a 17-year-old who is forced to move in with her mother’s new wealthy husband. This new setting introduces her to a whole new world and many new people, including her stepbrother Nick who captures her interest the most. As their connection, and attraction deepens they handle the challenges of their blended family and their own personal struggles.

Lead actress Nicole Wallace got candid about the release of her much-anticipated film, “There’re a lot of cars, just like the first one!”. She also hinted on the explosive dynamic between her and Gabriel’s characters in the sequel. “You see Nick and Noah come into a little more maturity and trying to find out what they want for themselves in a relationship,” she said. “And there’s a lot more depth into the secondary characters, which I love because you don’t see that sometimes in films.”

Wallace also excitedly commented on the upcoming UK version of Prime Video’s Spanish original movie. “It’s so cool,” she said. Production has recently wrapped on My Fault: London in the UK and will star up-and-comers Asha Banks (The Magic Flute) and Matthew Broome (The Buccaneers) as Noah and Nick. “It’s obviously weird because it’s been so fast, and we’re just coming into the second and third [movie], but Asha is amazing,” said Wallace of her English counterpart. “I’m very flattered that she’s playing Noah and I’m very happy to have someone understand the whole fandom as well.”

Following the first few weeks of its release, Culpa Mía was among the top 10 most watched titles in more than 190 countries, including the US, UK, Australia, India, Argentina and France. The much-awaited sequel, Culpa Tuya, will be available from December 27 exclusively on Prime Video in 240 countries and territories worldwide.
