Game Freak Biggest Data Breach Reveals New Pokemon Movie's Dark Tone

The leaks that were dumped on social media contained the theme of the new Pokemon film with the codename Bauer, its plot and concept art. According to reports, the theme of the film is going to be darker compared to the previous releases. The energy of this film allegedly matches with Pokemon: The First Movie.

It also revealed that the Studio is planning to reboot the whole universe, and the film revolves around Mew being the central figure and two new characters, Light and Akari, experiencing their adolescent life in Modern-day Kanto. The film also touches on a lot of dark topics of cyberbullying and Suicide, something that the producers were not happy with. According to them, most of the fan base of Pokemon are kids, and they don't want them exposed to such harsh topics at this age.

The Studio has released one Pokemon movie every year since 1988, but there hasn't been one for the past four years. This 24th Pokemon film went into production in 2021 and was supposed to be released by 2023, but the movie is now kept on hold.

The leaks also contained source codes of old Pokemon games like HeartGold and Soul Silver, along with codenames Ounce and Gaia for Switch 2, an upcoming Gen 10 Pokemon game.
