Former One Direction Star, Liam Payne, Meets A Tragic Death At 31

Liam Payne, a former member of the boyband One Direction, was found dead on thursday morning IST after falling from the balcony of his room in Buenos Aires. Police believe he was intoxicated at the time of his death.

The hotel staff on Wednesday evening called 911, notifying them about an aggressive man who was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and was causing damage to the hotel property. They also raised concern for the man's life being at risk because his room contains a balcony. The hotel manager said he heard a loud sound from the back of the hotel. The police, upon arrival, investigated the sound and found Liam's body on the ground.

The emergency medical team confirmed his tragic death, after which the Buenos Aires police released a statement saying, “Liam James Payne, composer and guitarist, former member of the band One Direction, died today after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Palermo."

Since then, fans have gathered near the hotel, playing One Direction songs with candlelight, mourning the death of their beloved singer. The UK singer was the youngest in One Direction, formed at a UK reality show, X-Factor. Other members included Harry Styles, Neill Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. The band became the biggest boy band before going on hiatus in 2016.
