FC Goa managed to conclude their previous game as a draw. Their last victory came a month ago against Jamshedpur FC with a scoreline of 3-0. They have scored 24 goals in the on-going season and are just behind Mumbai City FC in the tally.
In the head-to-head competition between the two teams, FC Goa has the upper hand as they beat Chennaiyin FC on nine occasions and lost to them eight times while one fixture has ended in a draw. In the previous encounter between the two teams, Chennaiyin FC beat FC Goa by a scoreline of 2-1.
Manuel Lanzarote’s inclusion in the team has brought more stability and creativity to Chennaiyin’s midfield.
For FC Goa, Brandon Fernandes and Princeton Rebello are recovering from injuries and are highly unlikely for the game. Young guns like Saviour Gama, Glan Martins, Alexander Romario Jesuraj, and Devendra Murgaokar have filled their shoes in their main players’ absence.
