The Aussies struck early in the first session of the day when the hosts got rid of the Indian skipper in the 36th over of the match. The two batsmen stitched a partnership of 104 runs for the fourth wicket.

Two sessions more to go before the Test match concludes. The Indian team will be hoping for this on-going pair to continuing till the last session. In the first session, 36 overs were bowled, 108 runs were scored at the run rate of 3 runs per over.
