Indian team takes the lead of 89 runs in their first innings on Day two of the final test match against England. While Rishabh Pant contribute 101 runs in the Indian innings. Pant scored his 3rd Test hundred and first on home ground while Washington Sundar completed his 3rd half-century and remained not-out till the end of the day.
While England owns the first two sessions of the day with some skillful bowling performances by Ben Stokes and Anderson; Stokes beat Virat Kohli on 0 runs while got Rohit Sharma LBW out when he was on 49. Indian innings saw two ducks first with Shubhman Gill and second with Virat Kohli.
Anderson beat Rahane on the other side when Rahane was looking furious and with an attacking approach while batting. Rishabh Pant started gearing up for a big knock when Rohit Sharma was playing hand in hand. But as soon Rohit Sharma got LBW out by Ben Stokes Pant hold the strings with Ashwin and Washington Sundar.
Pant and Sundar scored 103 runs partnership together; while both the batsmen started attacking England bowling unit with hard and fast shots with a new ball coming up in last 10-15 overs. After a deep collapse of India in the first two sessions India lost 6 wickets on 146 runs but India covered up the score by putting some extra runs; India scored 146 runs in the final session.
