India and England kick started their 3rd match of the 4 match-test series in India; the match will be played as a first day-night test between both the countries and 3rd for Indian team. The inaugural test match at Motera Stadium which is recorded as World’s largest cricket stadium has witnessed by Indian president Smt. Ramnath Kovind and cabinet minister Amit Shaha.
Earlier, England won the toss and chose to bat-first while India striked with the 4 wickets in the first session. Indian pacers and spinners completely dominated England top order while Jack Crawley scored 53 runs and got LBW out in the last few minutes of session end.
Axar Patel, the local boy took 2 wickets while Ishant Sharma departed Sibley in the starting overs; Sibley couldn’t score a single run. Ashwin bowled out Joe Root with his magical bowling attack.
Fast bowler Ishant Sharma received special mementos from India President Ram Nath Kovind and Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah on the occasion of his 100th Test match in Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
Ishant Sharma has become the 10th player from India and only the second pacer after Kapil Dev to play a century of Test matches when he took the field against England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Motera on Day 1.
