India and England kick started their 4 match Test series in India at Chepuak stadium, Chennai, England won the toss and opted bat first in the batting bounded pitch and lose two wickets at the end of the first session after a steady start.

Earlier England’s fresh opening pair Burns and Sibley started firmly against experienced bowling attack consisting Bumrah, Ishant Sharma and Ravi Ashwin. Though both the batsmen dominated first 20 overs of the session playing protective and steady game. England looked strong but Ashwin showed his classical bowling skills in the 24th over.

Rory Burns after scoring 33 runs played unnecessary defense shot and got caught out by Wicket-keeper Pant. After 1st wicket in the account India’s confidence got boosted and Virat called his special weapon Bumrah with attacking field.

Playing first time in India Daniel Lawrence the new batsmen got LBW in the 26th over bowled by Bumrah. He made a wicket-less debut playing in Indian sub-continent. Joe Root and Sibley played their part in the slog overs and hold the wickets for England.

Earlier England was looking stronger than hosts but Kohli and co. didn’t have off the mark and made an enough comeback for the start of first session. Now England would like to stay on field for the longer time and put a big total for Indian batting lineup.
